　　進(jìn)入21世紀(jì)，幾乎所有法輪功人員都在關(guān)注一個(gè)時(shí)間：圓滿時(shí)間。李洪志告訴他們：10年圓滿。如果從1991年算起，李洪志可以在2001年前后讓所有法輪功人員圓滿——成為佛道神。

　　在這個(gè)重要時(shí)期，李洪志先生發(fā)表了3個(gè)重要文章，法輪功稱之為“經(jīng)文”，意即所有法輪功人員的行為準(zhǔn)則。它們是：

　　2000年6月16日發(fā)表的《走向圓滿》。在這篇“經(jīng)文”中，李洪志要求：弟子們等待著圓滿，我也不能再等下去了。頂著壓力走出來證實(shí)法的弟子是偉大的。在全面最嚴(yán)厲的檢驗(yàn)中走過來的弟子也為大法在世間確立了堅(jiān)如磐石的基礎(chǔ)與大法在人間的真實(shí)體現(xiàn)，同時(shí)圓滿了自己最偉大的位置。眾生，將來的位置是你們自己選擇的。

　　2000年8月12日發(fā)表的《去掉最后的執(zhí)著》。在這篇“經(jīng)文”中，李洪志要求：其實(shí)這也是到了放下最后執(zhí)著的時(shí)候了。作為一個(gè)修煉者你們已經(jīng)知道了、也做到了放下一切世間的執(zhí)著（包括人體的執(zhí)著），從放下生死中走過來了。

　　2001年1月1日發(fā)表的《忍無可忍》。在這篇“經(jīng)文”中，李洪志要求：“如果邪惡已經(jīng)到了無可救無可要的地步，那就可以采用不同層次的各種方式制止、鏟除?！薄暗菑哪壳靶皭旱谋憩F(xiàn)來看，它們已經(jīng)人性全無、正念無存，就不能再容忍其邪惡對(duì)法的迫害。”“要放棄常人中的一切執(zhí)著”。

　　李洪志“經(jīng)文”傳遞者一個(gè)信息是：死亡是圓滿的最佳方式。于是，王進(jìn)東、劉云芳等人選擇以自焚的方式“圓滿”。

　　戳穿謊言

　　自焚人員不是法輪功人員嗎？

　　自焚事件發(fā)生次日，法輪功的新聞發(fā)言人聲明：自焚人員不是法輪功人員。并稱：從不提倡自殺。

　　自焚事件發(fā)生后，法輪功組織組織開動(dòng)旗下各種宣傳媒體，謊稱天安門自焚事件是中共制造自焚慘案。如以法輪大法信息中心名義發(fā)表題為“中共制造自焚慘案，新華社造謠陷害法輪功”文章，進(jìn)行狡辯；拍攝“偽火”碟片，進(jìn)行造謠宣傳，誣蔑中共殺人滅口：自焚發(fā)生的時(shí)候，劉春玲的腦后結(jié)結(jié)實(shí)實(shí)挨了一悶棍，然后她才應(yīng)聲倒地……與其說她是被燒死的，不如說她是被打死的！

　　其后，法輪功組織還利用宣傳媒體，對(duì)參與自焚的法輪練習(xí)者，進(jìn)行人身攻擊。如撰文否定自焚中的王進(jìn)東（王進(jìn)東的三張對(duì)比照片證明自焚是偽案）。

　　謊言漏洞：

　　法輪功組織雖然發(fā)表聲明，聲稱法輪功不提倡自殺，自焚者不是法輪功人員。但是，法輪功卻秘密組織人員對(duì)自焚人員的身份進(jìn)行調(diào)查。

　　法輪功人員馮海軍、司美娥查明，自焚人員確系法輪功習(xí)練者，他們把調(diào)查結(jié)果通過電子郵件提交給了明慧網(wǎng)。法輪功組織對(duì)此只字不提。

　　2002年4月3日，來自北京的中外記者對(duì)王進(jìn)東和薛紅軍進(jìn)行了采訪。

　　有記者問王進(jìn)東：“到天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚，你是出于什么樣目的?”

　　“為了圓滿，因?yàn)榫毞ㄝ喒Φ淖罡邔哟问菆A滿。現(xiàn)在看來李洪志所說的圓滿都是騙人的，自焚達(dá)不到‘圓滿’、‘升天’，更害了我自己?！?/p>

　　“出于什么目的練上法輪功的？”

　　“強(qiáng)身健體，目的很簡單。但后來李洪志說人類有大劫難，法輪功可避免，法輪功實(shí)際已經(jīng)超越了健身本身?！蓖踹M(jìn)東說。

　　有記者問：“境外的法輪功組織說你不是法輪功弟子，還說自焚是政府組織的。”

　　王進(jìn)東平靜地說：“這些我都聽說了，事實(shí)已經(jīng)很清楚了，這是別有用心的人的造謠?！?/p>

　　 坐在一旁的薛紅軍說：“我與王進(jìn)東是幾十年的好朋友。那時(shí)，都說法輪功是個(gè)好東西，我就托人從外地購買了一本《轉(zhuǎn)法輪》送給他，以為這是一件好事，誰知害了他，我一生都后悔。”

　　策劃天安門自焚事件主謀之一的薛紅軍，對(duì)自已當(dāng)初如何與王進(jìn)東等人密謀到天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚記憶猶新。他說：“當(dāng)時(shí)我與王進(jìn)東等一批法輪功弟子練功一年多了，從來沒有出去過‘宏法’，李洪志不斷在網(wǎng)上發(fā)來指令，要法輪功弟子放下生死，走出去‘宏法’，求得最后‘圓滿’。這時(shí)，對(duì)于許多功友來說，到天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚求‘圓滿’已經(jīng)是大勢(shì)所趨?！钡t軍后來沒有去天安門廣場(chǎng)。他說：“自已沒有去，原因是自已層次比起王進(jìn)東低，去了等于沒去，沒有一點(diǎn)意義。當(dāng)通過電視看到天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚那慘烈的一幕時(shí)，我驚呆了。所謂‘圓滿’不過是王進(jìn)東等人被燒傷的慘狀，這就是法輪功的真面目?！?/p>

　　有記者問王進(jìn)東：“有人說你的妻子和女兒是假的，是‘臨時(shí)組織’的，就連你臉上的皮都是化妝的?！蓖踹M(jìn)東忿忿地說：“誰要是不信，可以摸摸我的臉，看看是真還是假”。

　　說著，他拿起隨身帶來的一本相冊(cè)，讓記者看。上面有他與家人和妻子、女兒的照片。“我們結(jié)婚都二十多年了，那個(gè)時(shí)候中國還沒有法輪功?！?/p>

　　2005年8月，在國務(wù)院新聞辦公室的安排下，新華社、人民日?qǐng)?bào)、中國國際廣播電臺(tái)、中新社、香港文匯報(bào)、美聯(lián)社和CNN等中外媒體聯(lián)合組成的采訪團(tuán)，于18日在鄭州監(jiān)獄采訪了王進(jìn)東、劉云芳，以及自焚事件組織者之一的薛紅軍。

　　擺脫了李洪志精神控制的王進(jìn)東、劉云芳和薛紅軍三人，提起4年前的情形，仍悔恨交加、義憤不已。王進(jìn)東說，對(duì)李洪志和“法輪功”我的內(nèi)心里只有一個(gè)“恨”字。

　　他現(xiàn)在仍舊心悸當(dāng)初自己竟然對(duì)“法輪功”癡迷到自殺乃至殺人的程度。“法輪功就是愚昧的代名詞。”同樣在李洪志精神控制下積極參與自焚事件的劉云芳回憶說，“當(dāng)我即將把打火機(jī)點(diǎn)著的一瞬間，不是警察救我我也完了，也像王進(jìn)東、郝惠君、陳果那樣面目全非了?！碧崞鹱苑偈录l(fā)生后，李洪志矢口否認(rèn)他們是“法輪功弟子”的事情，薛紅軍表示，“說我們是假的，天理不公，我們修了多少年啊，我從1994年就開始練?！?/p>

　　噩夢(mèng)醒來的王進(jìn)東，不但自己擺脫了昔日沉重的精神枷鎖，還積極幫助其他“法輪功”癡迷者走出夢(mèng)魘。用他自己的話說，“清醒后的我，有責(zé)任也有義務(wù)?！庇捎趪?yán)重?zé)齻?，王進(jìn)東入獄時(shí)指縫粘連。2004年6月份，在政府的關(guān)心下，通過手術(shù)剝離已經(jīng)恢復(fù)功能，他把手伸給記者看，“現(xiàn)在活動(dòng)自如?！?1歲的劉云芳心懷歉疚，“我比他們更癡迷，所以我覺悟最難。上次外國記者來時(shí)，我還沒有醒悟過來呢?！钡麑?duì)“2003年9月27日”這個(gè)日子記得清清楚楚，他說這是他與“法輪功”邪教徹底決裂的日子。想起了郝惠君、陳果母女，薛紅軍感慨自己“非常幸運(yùn)”。得知陳果母女被政府安置照顧得很好，他說自己“內(nèi)心平安些”。

　　王進(jìn)東說自己在勞動(dòng)之余，喜歡看點(diǎn)書，寫點(diǎn)文章。采訪中得知，由于王進(jìn)東等三人在獄中改造較好，已被依法減刑。心理已趨平靜的他們對(duì)未來的生活充滿眷戀和期盼。薛紅軍告訴記者，他和王進(jìn)東、劉云芳三人經(jīng)常見面，談?wù)摰米疃嗟脑掝}就是將來的生活計(jì)劃。他說，“保持身體健康很重要?！?

　　“政府和社會(huì)對(duì)我的關(guān)心和愛護(hù)是我永遠(yuǎn)不能忘記的?！蓖踹M(jìn)東的話代表了他們?nèi)齻€(gè)人的心聲。

　　2001年2月5日《時(shí)代周刊》報(bào)導(dǎo)：“法輪功這個(gè)非法精神團(tuán)體的一個(gè)北京分部堅(jiān)持說這些抗議者是法輪功信徒。我們聽到師父的召喚，讓我們加強(qiáng)與邪惡戰(zhàn)斗，一名北京的法輪功成員說?！钡牵瑤讉€(gè)小時(shí)后，“法輪功”紐約中心卻與這個(gè)行動(dòng)保持距離：“這個(gè)所謂的天安門自殺行為跟法輪功學(xué)員沒有關(guān)系，因?yàn)榉ㄝ喒Φ慕虒?dǎo)禁止任何形式的”。

　　王進(jìn)東他們是當(dāng)著CNN兩個(gè)記者的面自焚的，CNN記者詳細(xì)地描述了他自焚時(shí)的情況，連烤肉的氣味，臉上的嚴(yán)重?zé)齻济鑼懥?。事?shí)是，CNN一直堅(jiān)持說自焚的是“法輪功”成員。

　　自焚事件的主要策劃者王進(jìn)東的女兒在2002年聯(lián)合國人權(quán)會(huì)上，以其父母及自身練習(xí)“法輪功”后的悲慘經(jīng)歷對(duì)“法輪功”造謠進(jìn)行了駁斥。

　　2005年8月19日，中外媒體聯(lián)合組成的采訪團(tuán)，赴河南省開封市采訪郝惠君、陳果等“１·２３”天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚者及王進(jìn)東的妻子和女兒。

　　郝惠君在接受記者采訪時(shí)哽咽著說：“我和女兒跟李洪志、法輪功沒有任何關(guān)系了”。郝惠君告訴記者，政府專門安排了護(hù)工照料她和女兒的日常生活。郝惠君還談到自己的寫書計(jì)劃。記者在陳果的電腦桌上，看到兩大本寫滿字的練習(xí)本，記者得知這是陳果用兩只傷殘的手夾著筆寫下的。

　　王進(jìn)東的妻子何海華說，“感謝黨和政府，幫我們擺脫‘法輪功’的精神控制，現(xiàn)在我們可以盡情地享受生活。”何海華告訴記者，王進(jìn)東在寫給自己的信中說，“出獄后，要領(lǐng)著全家好好干，富裕以后，帶你出去旅游?！?王進(jìn)東的女兒王娟也曾經(jīng)是“法輪功”癡迷者。她告訴記者，“過去把李洪志當(dāng)成神，現(xiàn)在看來，他的話都是騙人的?！?“感謝政府，不但幫我們擺脫了‘法輪功’，還幫我們過上了正常人的生活?！?

　　法輪功反對(duì)殺生嗎？

　　“家里有了蒼蠅、蚊子，我們把它轟出去，安上紗窗不讓它進(jìn)來。但有時(shí)轟不出去，那么打死就打死了”（《轉(zhuǎn)法輪》）。
在《瑞士講法》中，李洪志講得更清楚了：“既然能夠做到放下情，放下名、利，那么何不把怕殺生的本身也放下呢？！這不是去掉了最后的執(zhí)著了嗎？”

　　“（修煉）不能殺生?？墒谴蠓ㄔ诟呔辰缰兴菆A融的，法又體現(xiàn)出了在佛那個(gè)境界中的道理。我講了，你們傷害的部分生命將圓滿在你們未來的世界里作為眾生”。

　　在《大法是圓融的》一文中，李洪志已經(jīng)把殺生與"救度"劃上了等號(hào)：“那些被殺后的生命實(shí)質(zhì)的惡劣處境、痛苦承受與物質(zhì)的損失，修煉者就要在圓滿自己的一切過程中用自己修煉的成果來救度或給其福報(bào)。那么從這一個(gè)角度來看，被殺的生命所得到的補(bǔ)償要比自己在人中得到的，相比之下無法比，那么這就是善解了惡緣。”

　　可見，在“法輪功”里修到一定的“高層次”，不僅可以殺生，而且殺生也沒有什么可怕的。更何況，那種殺生也不能叫做殺生，已經(jīng)完全沒有殺生的概念了，這時(shí)，殺生或傷害生命實(shí)質(zhì)上等同于“救度”或“度生”。

　　“法輪功”處處暗藏殺機(jī)，為什么要標(biāo)榜自己禁止殺生呢？

　　李洪志在加拿大講，“那么如果邪惡到了無可救藥的程度，怎么樣去對(duì)待它，這不是個(gè)人修煉問題，這是捍衛(wèi)宇宙的法，必要時(shí)就可以采用不同層次的不同能力清除?！薄霸谔厥獾那闆r下可以清除邪惡，可以這樣做，這在歷史的修煉中是沒有的。”

　　可見，為了“正法”或“捍衛(wèi)宇宙的法”，對(duì)那些“人性全無”的“邪惡”是可以采取“不同層次”的“不同能力”或“各種方式”予以鏟除和消滅的?！安煌瑢哟巍憋@然包括人的層次；“不同能力”當(dāng)然包括人的肉體的能力；“各種方式”必然也包括刀砍斧剁、火燒水淹等方式。在“法輪功”看來，殺人哪里是殺人，根本沒有殺人的概念，那是在“鏟除邪惡”！北京“法輪功”癡迷者傅怡彬弒父殺妻案，黑龍江伊春“法輪功”癡迷者關(guān)淑云掐死9歲親生女兒案等等，無一不是在這種背景下發(fā)生的。

　　事件發(fā)生后，境內(nèi)外媒體都進(jìn)行了報(bào)道。善良的人們都對(duì)法輪功這一欺騙害人的行徑進(jìn)行了痛斥揭批。國內(nèi)，新華社、《人民日?qǐng)?bào)》等各媒體，都報(bào)道和遣責(zé)了法輪功組織傷天害理的邪教本質(zhì)；境外，眾多媒體也都發(fā)表文章，聲討法輪功。美國《僑報(bào)》在2001年2月19日，以５個(gè)整版的篇幅開辟“透視法輪功”專欄，揭露“法輪功”的邪教本質(zhì)。在專欄前言中稱：１月23日幾名 法輪功癡迷者為“升天圓滿”在天安門廣場(chǎng)自焚，使“法輪功”的邪教本質(zhì)昭然若揭；朝鮮《勞動(dòng)新聞》2001年2月18日發(fā)表文章指出，“法輪功”是李洪志誘惑、欺騙人們進(jìn)行反政府活動(dòng)的邪教組織；意大利全國出版發(fā)行的華文報(bào)紙《歐華時(shí)報(bào)》2001年2月12日發(fā)表社論，揭露“法輪功” 的邪教本質(zhì)。

Self-burning event of Falun Gong practitioners collectively on Tian'anmen Square

On January 23, 2001( the eve of Chinese New Year), while Chinese people were hailing the first Spring Festival of the new century, an unexpected tragedy shocked the whole world: 7 Falun Gong practitioners from Kaifeng City of Henan Province burned themselves collectively on the Tian'anmen Square at 14: 41 of the day. Two of them died and 3 were badly disabled.
 
Who took part in the self-burning?
 
Liu Chunling, an unemployed woman of 36, resided in an apartment on the first floor of Building 6 at the eastern part of Ping Guoyuan, Kaifeng City, Henan Province. She died on the spot.
 
Liu Siying, a 12-year-old girl, was a pupil in Grade 5 of Ping Guoyuan Primary School. Ever since March, 1999, she had been practicing Falun Gong with her mother Liu Chunling. The burned area reached 40% of her body, with the injury on her head and face graded 4th degree of burning. Her eyelids turning outside, her hands and face totally ruined, she lied on bed with great difficulty in breathing. On March 17, 2001, she finally died of deteriorating burning injury and heart failure.
 
Hao Huijun, born in December of 1953, had been teaching music at the Ethnical Middle School of Hui in Kaifeng City since she graduated from the Art Department of Henan University in 1974. She was Chenguo's mother and began to practice Falun Gong in 1996.
 
Chenguo, born in May 1981, began her college life at the Folk Music Department of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1999. Outstanding in her study, she was once recommended by the Affiliated Middle School of the Central Conservatory of Music to join the Milky Way Art Troup of China Central Television and gave performances in Singapore in 1993. She took to Falun Gong in 1996. At the self-burning event on the Tian'anmen Square on January 23, 2001, 80% of her body was burned and 50% reached 3rd degree of burning. Her head and face was in eschar, registered 4th degree of burning. She was in a shock.
 
Now, Hao huijun and her daughter Chenguo can no longer take care of themselves at all and need 24-hour nursing.

Wang Jindong, born in January of 1951, was a retired worker from Maodun Group, in Kaifeng City, Henan Province. He started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. During his emergent medical treatment, he still recited, "caring about no life and death, we are immortal; caring about life and death, we are mortal."
 
Liu Baorong, born in December of 1947, was a retired worker from Dyeing and Knitting Factory in Kaifeng City. She retired because of injury at work place in 1984, and took to Falun Gong in October of 1995. She intended self-burning but failed.
 
Liu Yunfang, born in December of 1947, resided in No.5 Wuliangmiao Street, Longting District of Kaifeng City. He was originally a worker in a factory in Kaifeng City and then made a living by repairing electric appliances and doing some odd jobs after he was laid off. He had been obsessed with Falun Gong since 1997. He dropped out at the last moment. Later, he explained, "I decided not to burn myself, because our 'master' wanted me to live. He needed me to speak for him."
 
Xue Hongjun, born in March of 1952, was a doctor from the People's Hospital of Longjiao District, Kaifeng City. He began to practicing Falun Gong in 1996 and plotted the self-burning event with other conspirators.
 
On August 17, 2001, the first Intermediate People's Court of Beijing sentenced Liu Yunfang life imprisonment and deprived her political rights for lifelong time in the name of intentional murder. Wang Jindong was sentenced 15-year imprisonment and deprived political rights for 3 years. Xue Hongjun 10-year imprisonment and 2-year deprivation of political rights, Liu Xiuqin 7-year imprisonment and one year deprivation of political rights, Liu Baorong no penal punishment but an admonish. On November 7 of the same year, Wang Jindong, Liu Yunfang, and Xue Hongjun were transferred to the prison in Zhengzhou, Henan Province and began to serve their sentences.
 
Why did they burn themselves?

Li Hongzhi instructed his followers:

"The ultimate purpose of practicing is to obtain consummation. You will become a very great god or Buddha after you obtain consummation." ("Zhuan Falun")

"You will be a god if you can be indifferent to life and death. If you can't, you are still a human being." ("Falun Fofa: lections in United States")

"I want to show a great feat to people when you obtain consummation, I will allow Dafa followers to be raised to the heaven with their bodies, no matter they want or not. Their bodies will not disappear in the heaven." (" Falun Fofa: lections in Europe")

When it entered the 21st century, almost all the Falun Gong practitioners were curious about the very time of consummation. As Li Hongzhi told them, 10 years of practicing would lead to consummation. If counted from 1991, the time when Li Hongzhi may bestow consummation upon all his followers would fall around year 2001. At that time, Li Hongzhi claimed that all the practitioners would become Buddha.
 
At this critical time, Mr. Li Hongzhi published 3 important essays, the so-called "lection" in Falun Gong, which served as guide lines to control Falun Gong practitioners' behavior. Here are the three essays.
 
"Towards Consummation" was published on June 16, 2000. In this lection, Li Hongzhi said, "all my followers are waiting for consummation. I can not wait to see the moment to come. Those who stand out to prove Fa under pressure are great. Those who withstand the strictest overall test will lay a rock-firm earthly foundation for Fa and manifest it on the earth in its true meaning. At the same time, they consummate their own place of greatness. The mass, it is up to you to choose your place in the future." 
 
"Eliminate Your Last Attachment" published on August 12, 2000. In this lection, Li Hongzhi called, "It is time to give up the last pertinacity. As a practitioner, you have already known and shown how to give up all the earthly pertinacity. You have come out by caring about no life and death."
 
"Beyond the Limits of Forbearance" published on January 1, 2001. In this lection, Li Hongzhi agitated, "When the evil are uncorrectable, all means of all levels can be employed to barricade and eliminate it." "But seeing the present development of the evil, which devoured all humanity and justice, Fa can no longer tolerate its persecution. All the human pertinacity must be abandoned now."

All the lections of Li Hongzhi conveyed the message that death was the best way to consummation. Thus, Wang Jindong, Liu Yunfang and the other practitioners chose to achieve consummation by burning themselves.

Reveal the lies

Were the persons who burned themselves not Falun Gong practitioners?
 
On the second day of the self-burning event, the spokesman of Falun Gong claimed that those who committed self-burning were not Falun Gong practitioners. And he added that Falun Gong never advocated suicide.
 
After the self-burning event, Falun Gong organizations fully employed all their propaganda, spreading the rumor that the self-burning event on the Tian'anmen Square was a tragedy plotted by Chinese Communist Party. For instance, the so-called Information Center of Falun Dafa made a chicanery by releasing a report titled "Chinese Communist Party Produced Self-burning Tragedy, Xinhua News Agency Mongered the Rumor to Stigmatize Falun Gong." In order to make the rumor get around, they even filmed fake self-burning scenes in disks, libeling that CCP killed people to shut their mouth. They fabricated that Liu Chunling was hit heavily on her head from the back and then she fell down. So, she was not so much burned as beat to death.
 
After that, Falun Gong organizations took advantage of their propaganda to assault the practitioners involved in the self-burning event. For example, they wrote to claim that the self-burning event was a fake case by comparing 3 pictures of Wang Jindong.
 
Their lies did not hold water.
 
Although Falun Gong organizations made an announcement that they never advocated suicide and those who were involved in the self-burning event were not Falun Gong practitioners, they secretly made an investigation on the identity of the people.
 
Falun Gong practitioners Feng Haijun and Si Mei'e found out those who burned themselves on the Tian'anmen Square were indeed Falun Gong practitioners, and they e-mailed the result to Minghui Net. However, Falun Gong organizations said no word about the investigation.
 
On April 3, 2002, some Chinese and foreign reporters from Beijing interviewed Wang Jindong and Xue Hongjun.
 
A reporter asked Wang Jindong, "What was your purpose of burning yourself on the Tian'anmen Square?"
 
"For the consummation, it is the highest level of practicing Falun Gong. Now, I know, Li Hongzhi cheated us by promoting the so-called consummation. Self-burning could not achieve 'consummation' nor 'be raised to the heaven'. It only ruined me."
 
"Why did you practice Falun Gong?"
 
"Firstly, my aim was simple, just to keep fit and strong. But later, Li Hongzhi spoke of the calamity of human beings and we could survive it only by practicing Falun Gong. It indeed surpasses the purpose of keeping fit."
 
A reporter questioned "The overseas Falun Gong organizations say you were not a practitioner, and the self-burning event was plotted by the government."
 
Wang Jindong said calmly, "I have heard of that. The fact is clear. Someone is making rumors intentionally."
 
Xue Hongjun, sitting beside him, added, "Wang Jindong and I were good friends for tens of years. At a time, many people believed Falun Gong was good, so I pleaded with someone in another city to buy a book Zhuan Falun. I gave the book to him as a present, taking for granted that it would is good to him. I never expected it would do harm to him. I regret having done that all my life."
 
To Xue Hongjun, one of the conspirators having plotted the self-burning event at the Tian'anmen Square, the scene of making the scheme together with Wang Jindong remained fresh in his memory. He said, "By then, I had been practicing Falun Gong with Wang Jindong and some other Falun Gong followers for more than a year and I had never promoted Fa outside. But Li Hongzhi kept on sending instructions through the internet, requiring his followers not to care about life and death and promote Fa outside, in pursuit of the last consummation. That time, to many followers, burning themselves on the Tian'anmen Square to achieve consummation appeared a general trend." However, Xue Hongjun did not go to the Tian'anmen Square. He said, "I did not go, because I thought, compared with Wang Jindong, I was on a lower level. Going there would mean nothing for me. But when I saw the horrible scene on the TV, I was shocked. The so-called consummation was but the miserable burning injury of Wang Jindong and the rest. That was the true face of Falun Gong." 

A reporter asked Wang Jindong, "It is said that your wife and daughter are not real and the family is temporarily organized. And even your face skin is a camouflage by dressing." Wang Jindong answered in anger, "If you suspect, just feel my face to see if it is real or not!"
 
With his words, he showed the reporters a photo album he brought with him. On the album were some photos of him and his family including his wife and daughter. "We married over 20 years ago, when Falun Gong did not turn up in China."
 
On August 18, 2005, arranged by the Information Office of the State Council, a team of reporters from Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, China Radio International, China News Agency, Hong Kong Wenwei Newspaper, the Associated Press and CNN interviewed Wan Jindong, Liu Yunfang and Xue Hongjun at Zhengzhou Prison.
 
Freed from Li Hongzhi's spiritual control, Wan, Liu and Xue were in deep repentance and indignation when speaking of the situation four years ago. Wan said, "To Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong, I have only one feeling in my heart, that's hatred."

While recalling that he had been so obsessed with Falun Gong to the extent of committing suicide and killing other people, Wang Jindong's heart still throbbed. "Were it not a policeman who saved me at the moment when I was going to strike fire, my body and face would have been ruined like Wang Jindong, Hao Huijun and Chenguo," said Liu Yunfang, who also had taken an active part in the self-burning event under the spiritual control of Li Hongzhi.
 
Wakened from the nightmare, Wang Jindong has not only cast off the heavy spiritual fetters but actively helped other obsessed Falun Gong practitioners come out of the nightmare. He said, "Since I have resumed a clear head, I have the responsibility and obligation to do that." Due to severe burning injury, Wang's nails conglutinated when entering the jail. With the Government's care and concern, in June, 2004, he had an operation and could use his hands freely again. He showed his hands to the reporters and said, "They are flexible now." Liu Yunfang, at her age of 61 then, was full of regret and said, "I was more obsessed than them, so it was quite difficult for me to see the truth. When the foreign reporters came last time, I had not come out of the obsession yet." Wang Jindong said he would never forget the day of September 27, 2003, when he completely broke away from the heretical cult Falun Gong. Thinking of Hao Huijun and Chenguo, Xue Hongjun sighed that he was very lucky. Knowing the government is taking good care of them, he got some peace in his heart.
 
Wang Jindong said besides working in the jail he would do some readings and writings. The reporters got to know that in view of their good performance, their sentences have been commuted according to the law. Having gradually calmed down, they cherished hope and love to the future. Xue Hongjun told the reporter that he often met with Wang Jindong and Liu Yunfang and they talked a lot about the plan for the future. He said, "Keeping sound is very important."
 
"I will never forget the government and the society's care and concern for me." Said Wang Jindong, whose words were representative of their heart-felt gratitude.
 
On February 5, 2001, Times reported, "A Beijing branch of Falun Gong, the illegal spiritual organization, insisted that these protesters were Falun Gong followers. 'We have heard the call from our master that we should strengthen the fight against evil', said a Falun Gong practitioner in Beijing." However, a few hours later, the New York Center of Falun Gong kept cautious distance from the action, "the so-called suicide on the Tian'anmen Square has nothing to do with Falun Gong practitioners, because the teachings of Falun Gong are against suicide of all kinds."
 
It was in the face of two reporters from CNN that Wang Jindong and the rest burned themselves. The reporters depicted the situation in such a detail that they described the smell of burning flesh and the severe burning injury on the face. In fact, CNN believed they were Falun Gong practitioners all along.
 
On the Human Rights Conference of the United Nations in 2002, Wang Jindong's daughter refuted the rumors mongered by Falun Gong by presenting the miserable experiences of her parents and herself after practicing Falun Gong.
 
On August 19, 2005, a team of both Chinese and foreign reporters went to Kaifeng City, Henan province to interview Hao Huijun, Chenguo, the victims of the Jan.23 self-burning event on the Tian'anmen Square, and Wang Jindong's wife and daughter.
 
In the interview, Hao Huijun sobbed, "My daughter and I have nothing to do with Li Hongzhi and Falun Gong now." She told the reporters that the government assigned nursing workers to take care of their daily life. She also spoke of her plan for writing a book. On Chenguo's computer desk, the reporters found two thick notebooks. On every page of them were characters written by Chenguo, who managed to hold a pen with her two disabled hands.
 
He Haihua, Wang Jindong's wife, said, "I am grateful to the Party and the Government for helping us get rid of the spiritual control of Falun Gong. Now, we can enjoy our life again." She told reporters that in his letter to her Wang Jindong wrote, "When I am out of the prison, I will work hard. As long as we save enough money, we can go sightseeing." Wang Juan, Wang Jindong's daughter, was once obsessed with Falun Gong too. She told the reporters, "In the past, I regarded Li Hongzhi as God. Now, we see he has been cheating around." "Thank the Government for not only helping us break away with Falun Gong, but also leading us to a normal life again."
 
Does Falun Gong oppose killing lives?
 
"If there are fliers, mosquitoes in our living place, we may let them out or set a screen to keep them out. But if we can not let them out, we may as well beat them to death." ("Zhuan Falun")
 
In his lection in Switzerland, Li Hongzhi made it more clear, "Since we care about nothing of love, fame and profit, why can not we drop out the fear of killing lives? Isn't it an elimination of pertinacity?"
 
"(In the practicing) we can not kill lives. But Da Fa is flexible on a higher level, which manifests the truth in the ambit of Buddha."
 
In his essay "Da Fa is Flexible", Li Hongzhi equaled killing lives as salvation, "the killed lives were in a miserable situation and suffered losses of materials. In the pursuit of consummation, the practitioners should rescue them with their own achievements. Thus, from this angle, the compensation that the killed lives obtain is much greater than what they could get as a living being. This is to get rid of the evil with the good."
 
As is shown, at a certain "higher level" of Falun Gong, killing lives are permitted and should not be afraid of. Moreover, that is not labeled as killing lives, for the concept has disappeared and killing or hurting lives equals "salvation" or "releasing souls from purgatory".
 
Since Falun Gong is full of hidden killing instructions, how come its claim of opposing killing lives?"
 
Li Hongzhi lectured in Canada, "If the evil is uncorrectable, how shall we treat it? It is not a matter of personal cultivation but a protection of a universal law. If necessary, we can get rid of it by all means of different levels and abilities." "Under special conditions, we can eradicate the evil. Yes, we can do it, though there is no precedent in the history of self-cultivation."
 
Obviously, in order to "stabilize Fa" or "protect the universal law", Falun Gong can adopt "all means" of "different levels and abilities" to eradicate "the evil with no humanity". "Different levels" refers to people of different backgrounds and educations, "different abilities" means different physical power and "all means" must include hacking, chopping, burning, drowning and so on. In Falun Gong, there is no such a concept of killing people but "eradicating the evil".
 
The tragedies, such as the obsessed Falun Gong practitioner Fu Yibing killing his father and wife in Beijing, the infatuated Falun Gong practitioner Guan Shuyun killing her 9-year-old daughter in Heilongjiang, and so on, all happened in this background.
 
When the cases were reported by the media both at home and abroad, many righteous people bitterly criticized and accused the abhorrent cheat of Falun Gong. Some domestic media such as Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily revealed and denounced the evil nature of Falun Gong, the heretical cult. Many overseas media also released articles to condemn Falun Gong. On February 19, 2001, Chinese Press, a publication in U.S.A, set a five-page column of "See through Falun Gong" to expose the evil heretical nature of Falun Gong. In the column, it remarked that Falun Gong's evil heretical nature was disclosed by the event of Falun Gong practitioners burning themselves in pursuit of "consummation and being raised to the heaven" on the Tian'anmen Square on January 23. The Labor News in North Korea released an article on February 18, 2001, pointing out that Falun Gong is an evil heretical cult employed by Li Hongzhi to delude the common people into going against their government. On February 12, 2001, Chinese European Times, a nationwide Chinese newspaper in Italy, also released an editorial on the evil heretical nature of Falun Gong.
